What do you do when you feel overwhelmed?
At the end of the week, when you finally sit down on the couch to relax are you just flooded with things you did not finish or accomplish?
I feel this way on a regular basis and I have found the source of the issue. I have a painting business and can end up feeling upset due to the fact that we are still on a project when I want to be done and onto the next.
Clearly, I need to learn to better manage my time but also need to just relax.
The bad day I was having this past week was due to the fact that I was upset that we were “behind” schedule. We were only “behind” schedule because I thought that. In truth we were fine.
This is not just a work issue for me. This is an everyday issue for me.
I struggle to be present and in the moment. I am constantly on the move and feel lazy if I am not doing several different things at a time. The problem that creates is that I do not give my full attention to anything thus being unable to properly handle issues as they come up.
What’s my solution?
I have to take a step back, make a to-do list, remind myself that it’s all going to work out, and then get to work.
