Lesson #1: Compare yourself to your photo album, not someone else’s social media feed

Do you ever find yourself scrolling through your social media feed and you begin to feel like a loser? You see other people going on amazing vacations or accomplishing incredible goals while you are sitting in your pjs eating chips…again

We forget that we are just seeing a snapshot of their life that was carefully curated to get the most likes. We don’t see the parents yelling at their kids to just smile for one picture. Or the hard work that it took to reach that goal.

Quit scrolling and go live your life!

Lesson #2 Read the instructions…

so you don’t cut the wrong size hole in your desk. Just a few extra minutes of preparation will save you money and extra work down the road.

Lesson #3: Yelling is as useful as wiping before you poop

No one likes to be yelled at. Yelling crushes your kids’ soul. Yelling is a vicious cycle because the more you do it, the more it becomes a habit, and then it becomes a character trait of not only you but also your kids. There’s a difference between yelling and raising your voice to get their attention. Learn the difference.

Be kind and speak softly.

Lesson #4: Rude clients teach you the most

I have learned more from rude clients than any book or online course. As ridiculous as their tantrums might be there is a grain of truth in there that can make the experience better for the next client.
