Starting over is hard to do on your own but as the saying goes, “If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together.”

Yes, you can start over on your own and be ok but to experience deeper healing you need the power of community. The power of community is invaluable when starting over for several reasons.

First, you now have a group that can help support and carry you through the difficulties of starting over. There will be days when you will need the strength of others to help you continue to move forward.

Second, it’s encouraging to know that your situation isn’t unique to you but that others have faced similar situations and can relate to what you are going through. Their stories can help inspire you, knowing that they have faced similar situations and have made it through to the place of healing.

Lastly, you can begin to give hope to others as well. Everyone is at a different point in their journey. You may be further along than someone else so you can share what you have learned with them.

The power of community doesn’t need to be unique just to when we are “starting over” because none of us have this thing called life figured out. We all could use some encouragement from others every day.
