Life can be hard at times. There are days you feel like a big steaming pile of…well…you get the idea. How can you have less of those type of days?
1) Plan out your day. Nothing beats a good ol to-do list to help you feel like you accomplished something. Make sure to include tasks that you can complete that day. These tasks are like boosters to help keep you going especially if you have several ongoing tasks.
2) Be around people. Go interact with co-workers. Don’t have co-workers then call someone. Even better is if you go and serve someone even if it is something small. Take someone coffee or take them out for lunch.
3) Do some physical activity. If you sit at a desk all day, plan to do a workout or go for a walk. Even just a few push-ups next to your desk helps. If you do manual labor all day, might be the opposite for you. Take a nap. Read a book. But don’t just watch TV.
4) Limit screen time. No one ever congratulated themselves for a hard day’s work after binge-watching TV shows all day. There’s a difference between watching an episode or two to get some laughs and trying to escape life by “living” in the show.
5) Avoid doom-scrolling. Nothing makes you feel like poo quicker than spending hours scrolling all your social media feeds. Skip the scrolling and refer back to point number 2.
Pick one and then take note of how you feel at the end of the day.
