“We do not like to fail, but we can learn more from our failures than from our successes.”
The paradox of failure is that failure is seen as bad but as we begin to investigate it, we realize that there is a lesson there. Truth that can be gleaned from it
This should not come as a surprise because this truth is played out all the time in life. Think about weightlifting. You are literally destroying muscle so that it build back stronger. Any time we practice we are doing this. We fail during practice so we get better for the performance.
Failure is the refining process of life but only if we have the right attitude.
How do you handle failure?
Do you see failure as well as failure? Or do you see failure as a learning opportunity?
I would not go as far as to say that, “on the other side of failure is a success.” I would say that “on the other side of failure is growth” because if handled correctly, growth can be a byproduct of failure.
The reason being is that there are times it doesn’t feel like a success. It still sucks but there is at least light at the end of the tunnel if you can understand what went wrong. The fog will begin to lift and you can move forward at least one step.
Failure can be your biggest disappointment
Or failure can be your catalyst for change
It depends on whether you will persevere through it
