“Intentionality asks: Is this helping me move toward who I want to be?”
John Delony

You ever look back and think, “Where did the time go?” Then your next thought is, “What have I accomplished?”

You have to be intentional or life will just happen.

Intentional in dating your spouse.
Intentional in training up your children.
Intentional in taking care of your health.
Intentional in growing in your faith.

I know so many people who want to live Instagram lives of trips and spontaneous activities but that’s not life.

Routine is key. Routine seems to get a bad rap because people will say, “it just became routine,” meaning it was the same thing repeatedly, so it loses its appeal. Yes, that can happen but is it always a bad thing?

Think about an assembly line worker. Every day the same routine on the same product to produce the same results. If they constantly changed their routine they would have inconsistent results. It’s only by sticking to their routine that they can produce mass amounts of the same product again and again.

That’s not sexy to think about applying to your life. But that’s how you become who you want to be, by creating routines that become habits.

Not saying you have to become a drone. Go on spontaneous trips. Try new things. This is about becoming who you want to be by showing up everyday and putting in the work.
