Have you ever asked yourself this question,
“How did I end up here?”
I have especially over the past few years. It’s crazy to think back and see where God has brought me. I never would have imagined this is the life I would be living.
Ephesians 3:20
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,”
I used to think this verse meant God was like Walt Disney in that He could come up with amazing ideas and stories. But God is so much more than Walt Disney. He will and does wild and mind blowing feats in our lives.
The cross and Jesus dying on the cross was something nobody could ever imagine. Only God could.
Yes, Jesus’ death on the cross is a radical idea but also not. People were killed on crosses all the time but the purpose for Jesus’ death was the unimaginable part.
I think we pray for God to do the mind-blowing feats in our lives, then they don’t happen and we get disappointed.
If God always did big feats, would our faith grow? Or would God become the genie that does amazing feats for us?
Could God have done a miracle and saved my marriage? Yes.
Why didn’t he? I will probably never know but I do know that He done an amazing work in my life over the past few years. Work that I would never have imagined would happen.
