Do you remember in the movie Apollo 13 (which was based on the real life story) how the astronauts had to figure out how to make it back to earth after experiencing ship failures? Even thought they had the help of NASA back on earth, it was up to the crew of Apollo 13 to execute the plan and safe themselves. No one was coming to rescue them.
I have begun to realize that we all are like the crew of Apollo 13. Each of us is on our own spaceship trying to navigate through space to make it safely back to earth. Ok, ok no I do not think we all are actually astronauts. What I mean is that like the crew of Apollo 13, no one is coming to rescue us.
At the end of the day, when you lay down to go to sleep who is responsible for how your day went? You and only you.
“But this guy did this and this happened and this person said this.”
Yeah, things happen because it’s called life but those things aren’t flying your ship. You are. If you want to keep with the space theme those things are like a meteor that knocked you off course. It’s up to you to decide if you want to course correct and get back on track.
Be like the crew of Apollo 13. Surround yourself with your own support group or “NASA” and then get to work navigating your ship where you need to go.
