“…people in a rush don’t have time to enter the goodness of the moment.”

John Mark Comer

This past week was spring break for my kids so we decided to splurge and go on an amazing trip to…Anthony, Kansas.

Try to contain your excitement and not be completely jealous of us.

I love going to Anthony because my brother and his family are down there so kids get lots of cousin time.

I also love it because life moves so much slower in the small farm town. You can go for a walk and not have a single car pass you. It can also be a struggle for me since I run my own businesses and I can end up thinking about them. If I am not careful I can get pulled into some issue and begin working while I am there. I have to leave my phone inside so I can go outside and watch my kids just enjoy life.

On the way home during our 10-hour drive, I looked in the rearview mirror and just smiled at my kiddos. No, not from delirium but from joy. I am always so rushed to get home that I miss moments like this one. This moment where my kids are laughing and having fun together in the back of the van.

This moment that I will never have again that I would have missed if I were in a rush. Slow down and enjoy the goodness of the moment.
