It’s that time of year again! The time when fitness centers are packed full as everyone seems to be starting some sort of workout program. The time when people decide to make some sort of resolution to do things different this year.

Yet, after about 2 weeks most of it is all over. Back to the way things were.

How can you avoid failure? By choosing to Win the Day!

What does it mean to Win the Day! It means creating new habits that can help you achieve your bigger goal. Start small. These small adjustments will pay off with big results in the future.

The problem is no one wants to put in the work with the small changes. They shoot for the stars right out of the gate. I get it because who wouldn’t rather say you ran a marathon instead of you walked ten minutes every day.

James Clear, author of Atomic Habits, says, “When you dream about making a change, excitement inevitably takes over and you end up trying to do too much too soon…When you start a new habit, it should take less than two minutes to do.”

I don’t know about you but I can definitely do something for two minutes. That’s the idea because it gives you a small win to help keep you motivated. Just like a snowball rolling down a hill those small wins grow bigger over time to the point where two minutes leads to you completing a full marathon.
