“Not everything that is faced can be changed. But nothing can be changed until it is faced.”

James Baldwin

Change is scary but that’s life. There are highs and there are lows. We will face immovable objects but we will only know that if we face the object.

Sometimes it feels easier to avoid or ignore the object. To seek out distractions to take our focus off of it. But if something isn’t the way you like it, then do something about it.

I am reminded of the story of David and Goliath. The other Israelite soldiers were too scared to face Goliath because they thought he was an immovable object. Yet, none of them knew if this was true because they were too scared to act.

What was an immovable object to an army of Israelites, was just a flea in the eyes of David. David stepped up and faced Goliath not in his own strength but through the power of “God of the armies of Israelites.”

No, I am not saying “through God all things are possible” and He can fix any problem in your life you just have to believe. I do believe this to be true but that’s not the point.

David looked at the same Goliath as the other Israelites but what was the difference? Perspective. David saw the situation from God’s perspective and knew that HE would prevail.

Sometimes the thing that needs to change is your perspective, so just ask and God will provide it.
